FTSE 100 passes a new high, as sterling hits a new seven-year high. Deflation hits US, but the genie’s stay out of the bottle may be short lived. Investment may surge in second half of 2015.

There are some very good reasons to be bullish about the UK economy long-term. At least one of the explanations for this is controversial and relates to immigration. As for investors, I think the time is coming to look beyond the UK’s larger companies, and go small by examining the potential of up and coming and start-up businesses.
