What are Multi-Manager funds?
A Multi-Manager fund is a fund that invests across regions, such as the UK, US and China, across sectors, such as, Technology, Healthcare and Mining and across different asset classes, such as equities, bonds and commodities.
Our Multi-Manager fund managers appoint a selection of specialist managers who make investment decisions in their area of expertise. This way the fund can invest across asset classes but still have specialists making decisions about where to invest. The role of the manger-of-managers is to select the managers and monitor their performance.
Our managers are dedicated to managing the investments on a daily basis. They meet with c.200 fund managers a year to support their selection process (to make sure they have the best managers looking after your money on our Multi-Manager funds). At the Share Centre, we have six analysts studying different regions, sectors and asset types as well as global economic conditions. They do this to better understand the market risks and steer your money through a maze of challenges that are faced in markets on a daily basis.
What are the benefits of Multi-Manager fund investing?
- No account fees
- No dealing fees
- No initial fund charges
We simply take an Annual Manager Charge (AMC) from the Multi-Manager fund you choose to invest in. We adjust the funds returns to cover fees, so no need to write us a separate cheque and definitely no unexpected bills. When you look at the performance of our Multi-Manager funds returns over time they are net of fees.
How is a Ready-made ISA different from a Ready-made Lifetime ISA (LISA)?
If you're 18-39, saving up for your first home or retirement and invest in a Lifetime ISA the government will give you a 25% bonus on the money you pay into your account. You can invest up to £4,000 in this tax year with our hassle-free Lifetime ISA. All other aspects are the same as our Ready-made ISAs.
