Growth &
Income Fund

The ES Share Centre Multi Manager Growth & Income Fund is our medium-risk fund for investors wanting a regular income payment as well as capital growth.

About the Growth & Income Multi Manager Fund

Our Growth & Income fund aims to provide a combination of income and capital growth. This fund comprises of other funds that invest in a mix of equities, bonds, gold and alternatives, which are used to diversify how much risk the manager takes to achieve returns.

This fund is suitable if you prefer to have exposure to developed and developing stock markets and have an appetite for medium risk returns. If you're seeking a regular income payment, this could also be for you with its aim to provide a half-yearly dividend, on top of capital growth.

As a more balanced fund, the income provided is a lower percentage than our Income Fund, and the growth isn’t expected to be as high as our dedicated Growth Fund. Instead, this fund balances between our two other funds.

We offer three Multi Manager funds, each with different goals, risk levels and investments, and each suitable for different investors. Want something more focused on either growth or income, then check out our Multi Manager Fund hub.

Everyone starts investing for their own personal reasons, with their own motivation and goal in mind. • You want to invest for the long-term and you're not put off by ‘ups’ and ‘downs’ in the value of capital.

Monthly summary factsheet

What's in the fund?

All of our Multi Manager Funds are also known as fund-of-funds, so they are invested in a variety of other funds. Those underlying funds each have their own investments and are diversified across multiple different types of assets.

The Growth & Income Fund invests in a variety of regions, assets and sectors. A large portion of the underlying funds are invested in Global Developed Equities, many of which are UK or US based. Within the fund, there is a good split between Mutual Funds and Fixed Interest to balance income and growth. You can find more details on the fund breakdown in the Fact Sheet under "Important information" below.

Accumulation vs Income

A lot of funds offer two variants: Accumulation or Income. The difference between the two comes down to what happens with the fund's profits.

  • Income: Profits are paid out to investors through a dividend.
  • Accumulation: Profits are reinvested back into the fund.

An income fund will be more geared towards letting you reap benefits now through cash payments, whereas an accumulation fund focuses more on growing your investment so that you benefit down the road when you come to sell. Which fund is right for you depends on your individual goals and needs over a short-term and long-term period.
