Meet our Advice team

Our Advice team can talk through investment ideas with you, give you a second opinion, perform checks on your investments and even explain some of the strategies you could use. And because we don't charge our customers extra – you can use us as much as you want.

Andy Parsons, Head of Investment Research and Advisory Services and Fund Manager

Andy joined The Share Centre in 2006 as a fully-qualified financial adviser via the Chartered Insurance Institute and has over 24 years financial services industry experience. Andy holds the Private Client and Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM) Paper, part of the SII Diploma, along with a Diploma in Investment Compliance, and a CISI Certificate in Investment Management. Andy is also a Chartered Member of the CISI. As Head of Investment Research and advisory services, Andy manages and develops the services offered by The Share Centre’s Research and Advice team. Part of his role is to establish and maintain close working relationships with external financial services providers such as fund managers. Andy has been instrumental in creating and managing our sister company Sharefunds, Funds of Funds and establishing our Platinum 120 Funds range of Funds. Andy takes a broad view of financial planning and is a regular contributor of general financial advice and articles to the media.

Sheridan Admans

Sheridan Admans, Investment Research Manager and Fund Manager

Sheridan joined The Share Centre in 2006 as a fully qualified financial adviser.  He passed the Securities Institute Regulation, Securities and Investment Management papers and holds the Securities & Investment Institute (SII) Diploma. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and a Chartered Wealth Manager and holds a certified Statement of Professional Standing and hold and MBA in Investment Analysis. He is also a Co-Fund Manager of Sharefunds (SF) OEIC with 3 sub funds; SF Cautious, SF Positive and SF Adventurous. This naturally leads to him co-managing The Share Centre preferred range of 120 funds (OEIC/Unit Trusts) known as the ‘Platinum 120’.  Equally, he is responsible for the TSC team of Research Analysts overseeing the valuation and recommendation process of company equity and sector analysis; publishing of all research on The Share Centre’s website, blog and commentary, internal and external publications for the retail press.

Graham Spooner

Graham Spooner, Investment Research Analyst

Graham joined The Share Centre in 2001 as an FSA-approved investment adviser. He advises on a wide range of investment services including UK equities and investment trusts. He started his career in 1977 as a trainee dealer on the Stock Exchange trading floor. Two years later, Graham became a fully authorised dealer, a position which he held until 1986. Graham continued his career as a dealer at Chase Manhattan Bank, Svenska Bank and Midland Bank before moving to emerging-markets specialists, City of London Investment Management. Now a respected voice in the media, Graham’s comments on the markets and share tips are frequently sought by The Financial Times, The Times and The Daily Telegraph.

Helal Miah

Helal Miah, Investment Research Analyst

Helal joined The Share Centre in 2012 as an Investment Research Analyst. He graduated with a degree in economics in 1998 and has since been working within the investment industry. He has helped manage private client, institutional, retail and hedge funds with a focus on asset allocation and global macro strategies. He has worked for some reputable companies including Smith & Williamson, Schroders, The Industrial Bank of Japan and Mitsubishi Corporation. He has also spent some time as an independent proprietary trader, trading the US equity futures market. He holds the Securities Institute Diploma having passed papers in Fund Management, Private Client Investment Management & Advice and Regulation. He also holds the Investment Management Certificate and has passed the CFA Level 1.

Ian Forrest, Investment Research Analyst

Ian joined The Share Centre in 2014 having worked in investment, financial journalism and business research since he graduated in 1992. He has helped to manage investment portfolios and advise private investors on equities at reputable companies including Redmayne Bentley and NatWest Stockbrokers. Ian has also written about equity issues and IPOs in the UK and across Europe for the highly-regarded investment banking journal International Financing Review, which is part of Thomson Reuters. Ian passed the Certificate in Financial Planning in 2008, the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment’s Investment Advice Diploma in 2010 and holds a certified Statement of Professional Standing.
