Make the most of your ISA allowance from The Share Centre, with either our DIY ISA, or FUNDS ISA.
The DIY ISA makes it easy for you to buy a wide range of UK and overseas shares, Unit Trusts and OEICs, Gilts and Bonds for investing that is tailored to your personal aims.
The FUNDS ISA restricts you to buying only Unit Trusts and OEICs. However, this account has the added benefit of being FREE from our normal subscription fee.
An ISA means you can invest without having to keep an eye out for capital gains tax and no income tax liability either, since any income tax due has already been paid.
Of course, an ISA won't be right for everyone, and the extent of the tax benefits will depend upon your individual circumstances. The information in these pages will help you decide and we're on hand to answer any questions you may have. If after this you're not sure whether an ISA is right for you we'd recommend you seek independent advice.
To be eligible for a stocks and shares ISA you do have to be 18 or over and resident in the UK for tax purposes. Special arrangements also apply if you or your spouse are a Crown employee working overseas.
If you are not resident in the UK for tax purposes but are (or are married to) a Crown employee working overseas, under Section 28 Income Tax (Earnings & Pension) Act 2003 you will still be eligible for an ISA.
You'll find more information about how your ISA works, and what it costs, by clicking on the tabs above.
If you've already got a stocks and shares ISA or a Cash ISA with another provider you can arrange to have it transferred to The Share Centre, and you can choose whether to have separate accounts for each tax year, or add them all together in just one easy-to-manage account. Check with your existing provider to see whether they will make a charge to arrange a transfer.
